A note from Momma Bear

To whom it may concern...
I found these on the Eddie Bauer web site, on sale, lots of colors;

Mom,
Is the 'carrot' shade of that shirt close enough to the coral/pink color I was assigned? Thanks by the way - pink just had to go to me huh?

Hi to every one on a rainy, chilly morning in late June. Happy summer. I finally, thanks to Jeanette, got ahold of the photographer, and made arrangements for a group photo. He had several color suggestions (pastels, no prints, no obvious stripes or plaids, no green-because of background). The photographer will do the shoot at about 9:00/9:30 on FRIDAY morning, It will be outdoors, probably, with a rain date of Sunday,, same time. He will take 24/25 shots and you will each have an opportunity to have your individual family photo done, so keep in mind that if you don't wish to have your own portrait in the colors assigned, you can bring other clothes and do a quick change. We will receive a cd and all the 4x6s and a release form so we can have any photo made wherever we choose.
Dad and I decided that all the bottoms should be beige or tan, not short shorts. Bermudas, capris, long, fairly dressy styles. Raggedy cargo pants, not so much. Shirt color is the main issue. At David's suggestion I drew names, and if anyone has a great problem with their color, either call a sib and blackmail them into changing, or call me and we will see what to do. All the shirts for your family do not have to match, but they should look good together. Please no collarless t-shirts, with or without writing on them.

  • KubotaDave: coral to pink shades
  • Tango: violet, can go into periwinkle
  • Woodbutcher: pale yellow, to lemon
  • Mumbyclan: gold, can go to orange, but not too deep

  • RiderX: pale blue

  • Dadiator: aqua
The photographer said that each group will stay together, so there will be six blocks of color, and Dad and I will be in the middle of the group and wear either light green or ivory.

I got a great shirt for Tim already - now I just need to find some for the rest of us (and hope he keeps that one clean until the photo op!). I'll get right on it.
