look at me! look at me!

Everything here is starting to speed up again now that school is in full swing. There are all the hard classes i am taking, and the intense volleyball practices and games. This year i am taking calculus, a.p. history, anatomy and physiology, yearbook, french 4, and advanced english 4. My only blow off class is yearbook and it's kinda nice to have. senioritis is gonna kick in sometime, i know it, and when it does, thats one class that i will not dread going to. Enough about school though. The volleyball team is dominating this year. The two a day practices payed off. We are undefeated in our league. Last saturday we went to a tournament and got our butts handed to us, but those were the best teams in the state, class A schools with around 1500 kids average. We have 730 maybe. But we won the Bad Axe Tournament. So it all evens out. I am a local celebrity though. My picture appeared on the front cover of the times herald sports page. pretty cool! you can access it here. My coach says that i drop my shoulder and that is not good, but it works, and that hit was a kill if i remember correctly. This saturday we have a home tournament, which is better because now i can sleep in until maybe 6:30. Which sounds weird, because that's not really sleeping in. But... oh well. It works. Gotta go because i have a test tomorrow, and i have to get my beauty sleep! hah see ya!

Nice picture, hot shot! Sounds like you've got a busy year ahead - you're probably just as sleep-deprived as Jon is. How are the college applications coming?

Ahh, the debilitating scourge that is senioritis. I hope that is the most virulent malady you succumb to this year; painful and disfiguring as it is, it's still better than a mild cold or a broken fingernail. It does indeed sound like a killer schedule, what with getting up at dawn on the weekends, having Mom or Dad teach Calculus, and a coach that gets all up in your grill for not hitting clean kills with the proper shoulder position. Plus, aren't you supposed to be smiling at all times when you're in your Bulldog uniform? What does your coach know about it anyway? He was against your great idea to do two a day practices. Or did I dream that?
Keep your shoulder up, your head down, your eye on the ball, your shoulder to the grindstone, your powder dry, your nose clean, and your hands to yourself.
Oh, and thanks for keeping us informed on your action-packed life. And they tell me that the number of comments is no indication of the number of people who have read and enjoyed the post.
Whatever.

So someone has a problem with your arm postion? Puh-freakin'-leeze. No way, no how, no shoulder problem. Trust me. You're fine in that department. It's the blockers I'm worried about... you call that arm position?! Not a chance on halibut they got there in anywhere near time to block that smakdown you were about to lay on 'em. Suckaaas! As for your senior year issues... uhhh, who cares about high school? You're SOOOooooo outta there now it don't matter anyway. Where are you going to college, that's what I wanna know. University of Colorado? UC Berkeley? Oregon State? University of Maine? Just tell me it's someplace cool, where, say, your favorites aunts would looooove to visit you and then, well, maybe, it'd be time to get excited. Perhaps Duke? I hear that's a pretty good school....
