The stockings ....continued
There surely is a lot to learn about this blogging stuff. I'm not sure how I posted something I was sorta editing. But there you go, it is was it is.
We are still expecting a Support your Local Artist gift exchange, participation encouraged, but voluntary. I think it is up to the various parents to decide on the next generation gift arrangements, so I guess there have to be a few blogs flying. Decisions have tobe made about who can participate in the adult exchange. My vote is that it's open to whoever wants to support their local artist.
That's it, looking forward to some comments and some company. Momma Bear

Thanks for that tutorial on cat herding. Sunday the 28th it is. Even though that is the day I usually cut my hair, trim my nails, shave my face, legs, arms and back, take a couple Vicodin and crawl into bed early with a bottle of single malt to reflect on the coming new year. Oh well. Those things can all wait until next year.
My tuppence on the SYLA Yanqui Gift Xchange is whomsoever puts in is in, and anybody what don't, ain't.
See all y'all soon.
We're in for the 28th, 3-ish on. Local artist all the way, next gen can join us or not, as they see fit. As for direct giving from the sandwich gang to the up-and-coming crew, I defer to the wisdom of a local preschool teacher - "You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit". Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Good on ya, Grand Bears! Thanks for brandishing the whip, pistol, chair, and whatever else you had to use to get the lions and their cubs in line.
Looks like we Windy City 'tamers just might be able to work it out such that we blow into your neck o' the woods just in time for a late dinner and a pint (or two) at the Rochester Brew pub. Say 8-ish? If memory serves we've done that twice now and and I think there's a Local 467 phrase that suits just such a situ-osity: twice is always.
So, who's in?
RiderQ: You talkin' Friday, or Saturday, or what? Youse all sliding in from Ft. Wayne or Scottsburgh or teh City of Big Shoulders? Or what? We will mos' likely be cruisin' in from Buffalo on Friday in the early evening. Say eight-ish?
Sorry - I was talking about Saturday.
That "Christmas Eve" dinner at a brewery is as close to tradition as anything else we've got. It doesn't hold a candle to Uncle Bud's sloppy joes and pound cake, but it'll have to suffice. If the official party is Sunday, then Saturday would be the night for the dinner, no? But we could make Friday, 8ish, if we tried. I work until 5 that day.
How about a show of hands for reservations for our traditional meeting at Rochester Brewery on Christmas Eve, Sat. Dec. 27. Those who sign up get to go for sure, those who decide at the last minute have to take their chances.

Sherrie and I are in...does 8 bells work for y'all?
RiderQ, Eight ish works for us since we'll have been in town for 24 hours or so by then. Who is Sherrie and what happened to Li'l Lotto? Don't know for sure who all we're bringing. Shizzle has to work Monday(and the preceding Wednesday), and J is prolly gonna give it a miss, so that leaves PrincessBliss, and that is above my pay grade/security clearance. Put us down for two fur sure, please. Non-smoking. My memory of the reservation system there is that they'll take one but don't expect anything like a table for your group until one becomes available. So whomsoever shows up in our group is gonna get good and seated.
Peace Out
We'll see your two and raise you two, Tango. The entire Mumbyclan be there with bells on way before 8 pm Saturday (possibly even late Friday night). Happy Thanksgiving!
I believe wb and b44 +2 will be present.
