I like that article. I'm sure for a lot of the students it wasn't too far from the truth, and while I did make more American friends than Chilean friends, I visited a bunch of cool places with them. Can't argue with the statement about "not trading it for anything" though. ;)
O.K. Rider. Who's gonna tell the lad that the Onion is a satirical news source? Or was he being meta-ironic with his comment? Kids these days. Wutcha gunna due?
I do like living off campus. Everything is better, except the proximity to campus. I have to drive most days (or get a ride with someone, which is what I usually do).
For Jon, I'd say find a house within walking distance of campus. That is what I am going to do next year.
And I don't think that landlords can refuse to rent to students.

Oh, he knows it was tongue-in-cheek. He also knows there was more than a grain of truth in it, that's all.
How's off-campus life up there, Justin? Any tips for Jon when he's arranging next year's housing?
And does anyone know for sure if landlords can refuse to rent to students just because they are students? Jon needs to know!

Hey, have you been able to reach your host family in Chile to make sure they are ok? Are any of your classmates/friends down there this semester?
