Letter in the mail

I applied for the Centralis Scholarship what seems like such a long time ago.  There was a full tuition and room and board scholarship, and a full tuition only scholarship.  On Thursday, I had a quiz bowl meet, which meant that my family went home without me, and got the mail.  On my way home, I had a missed call, and it was from dad.  He said that I got a letter from Central.  I asked if they had opened it, because it seemed like something they would do.  He denied such an allegation, and after hanging up, I drove a little bit faster.  When I got home, the letter sat unopened on my counter.  I was pleased to find when I opened it that I received the full tuition scholarship!  RainX walked into the room and asked what happened, and wasn't very surprised when she heard the big news.  It was then that I found out that they had peeked through the envelope to see which scholarship I won.  They held the envelope up to the light, and now are claiming that it was hard work to tell what I won.  The letter said that I was one of the forty students who won a scholarship out of the 1,900 students who applied.  I still haven't decided where I'm going, because the competitions for scholarships at Ferris and MSU are coming up soon.  Down to three choices though, which is good.  The MSU competition is on February 13th and 14th, while Ferris' is later in February, a date which I haven't yet committed to memory.  Wish me luck!

Congratulations, sweetie - way to go! I saw your facebook message about celebrating a scholarship, but there wasn't enough info. Full tuition - that's GREAT! Is it renewable?
