QTown

The Liontamers are rocking Queenstown NZ in typical fashion. We convened here last Monday evening, did a little cycling and a little exploring and commenced a thus far fruitless quest for a decent pint of ale. Wednesday am we headed out to the Divide, the start of a 3 day, 2 night guided hike along the Routeburn Track, up Key Summit, along the Hollyford Face, up to the Harris Saddle where a helicopter shuttled us past what they said was a avalanche zone, and down through the broadening Routeburn River Valley. Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia type of landscape. Beautiful, if you like that sort of thing. As shown in the accompanying photographs. {OK. Evidently the new 12 giga hexil camera is too much information for the google. Won't load worth a bucket of spit. Y'all'll have to take it on faith that eNN zED is sorta pretty in the right light and that even short helicopter rides are big fun. Sorry for any inconvenience.}

We developed a cunning plan last night that involved getting out of town before RiderX and Li’l lotto threw themselves off a bridge attached only to a rubberband and an unwarranted faith in the “laws” of physics and the competence of 22 year-old overly tattooed shaggy headed slackers. But then Sherrie woke up in the middle of the night with what one might call diarrhea. So we decided that until she is stable enough to travel, we will hunker down here in the warmish rain.
