What's everybody doing for Easter this year?

Gee, it's getting a little quite in Liontamer Land! Everybody must be really busy with spring cleaning and Easter Egg coloring and taxes and stuff. Either that or the weather broke and the main contributors are out on their respective bikes.

We are almost done with the beastly task of scraping and scrubbing the petrified rubber carpet padding off the hardwood floor in our living room. We've been working on it in our spare time since the end of January, and if we hurry we might get it done before company starts arriving on Wednesday. (Wait till you see it, Parent Bears! By the way, I think Easter dinner will have to be a mid-afternoon event. It looks like Kathie has to be back at work Monday morning, so she'll want to be on the road by early evening. You said you could get here pretty early, though, right? Then we can clear out everyone else and you'll have your choice of beds for Sunday night. And did I tell you my sister-in-law will be bringing her estranged husband?!?)

This Monday night is our big meeting with the folks from the church next door. They called us a few weeks ago to tell us they had a long-range plan and it included our property. We said we weren't looking to sell, but would be willing to listen if they had an offer. Apparently they have an offer, which I'm pretty sure we'll end up refusing. That wouldn't be such a bad thing except that my boss, most of the school administrators, and lots of other people I know belong to that church. Could make things a tad uncomfortable if we're portrayed as thwarting God's work here in Whitehall. (Yes, it's that kind of church.)

Anyway, I've got to get to bed. We're celebrating the Big Mumby's birthday tomorrow. We had to postpone it a few days because he was out of town (again), but he's home now. And he only has to be at work until noon tomorrow, then he's riding in a fundraising bike "ride" at the mall in the afternoon, but he should be home in time for supper.

What's up with the rest of yous? How and where are you celebrating the upcoming holiday?

I'll be "celebrating" by working like the dog that I am. My next trial starts April 7 and I'm "mentoring" a new lawyer in the office. It'd be less work to do it myself, I think. Not sure which one of us is giong to survive but I doubt it will be both of us. {Prayers are welcome from those 'tamers so inclined. I suspect I'll ex-specially need it since I'll be spending all day of Good Friday in a smoky union hall in Gary Indiana. Who's luckier 'n me, I ask you?!!} M & P Bear... we probably need to talk later this week about your visit. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though...
