AFTER TANGO'S EXODUS FROM THE SMOKIES

Nice of you to circle the campground a 2nd time when you left Tango. We surely enjoyed your visit too bad the weather wasn't more co-operative but we had fun anyway! Hope your report on the 'rents was positive. The "'maters" did make it to a spot under the RV for the night but lo this was not sufficient since the temp went down to about 31 that night and they got a little frost bit (but not killed).

The day turned out beautiful and I convinced Momma Bear to join me on the rumored Lower Cammerer Trail. We made it out the trail to campground #35 about a 7 mi roundtrip or as Momma's knee says - maybe 70 mi. The trail was beautiful with tons of flowers especially the Crested Dwarf Iris (see picture), but the knee is still bothering her. Recognize the walking stick? We used both of the sticks you found Tango.

When we got back to camp a guy stopped me to ask if there was any electricity in the campground for him to blow up his air mattress. I told him I didn't know of any but I'd be starting my generator at about 5 PM if he hadn't found any by then. So at 5 he was at the RV with mattress in hand. It turns out he is a famous (at least in his own mind) country singer - Kris Allen & Southern Thunder and he gave us an autographed 8 X 10 poster for our trouble. If anyone has heard of him, let us know. Left the next morning for Dayton.

I want to see some photos of the spiculated conundrums and the flatulent elms! And glad the 'maters made it, despite the bite.
