I won!

The trial... in a nutshell: a dude's union got him fired for not paying his dues, even after he had already paid them. I was litigating against both the union and the employer. We argued it orally to the Judge, starting at 5:30 last night, after spending all day on the record. He issued a bench decision today. Did I mention I won? Well I did. And not just part of it this time. All of it. I don't like trials, really, but I do like winning, so at least there's that.

That's the long way of explaining where I've been lately, in case you were wondering. Or at least why I haven't been here. I'd apologize, but no one else seems to be around much these days either, so the heck with it.

Owasippe: I'm out. No time to train, and a bum knee to boot, so no races in my immediate future. Sorry. Plus I just want to sleep as much as possible this weekend. Did I mention I don't really like trials? I don't sleep well. Or should I say, I sleep more worser. Oh yeah, and gas is like $8 a gallon 'round here anyway, so don't think I could afford to drive to Michigan. Afterall, I'm just a guvment lawyer.

Ok, time for beddie bye bye.

Later, 'Tamers... keep the rubber side down.

P.S. Yo JB, where are the "new" bike pics, dude?

CONGRATULATIONS! That's great, for you and the dude. Did he get some huge settlement, or just back pay and stuff?

As for this weekend, what are you talking about, sleep? As my teen is fond of saying, loudly, sleep is for sissies - you can sleep when you're dead! And if gas money is the problem, we can send you a gas card or a train ticket. (just $50 round trip!)

Seriously, though, I'm not even sure K-dave and co. are coming, so we'll just have to plan a family gathering for some other time. Aren't there some other Michigan races y'all like to do in the spring?
