Here's an extended meal forecast for the holiday weekend. Food can be very unpredictable though, especially in Ohio. I believe the unofficial motto is "Don't like the menu? Wait a minute, it will change!"
Seven Day Forecast for Hocking Hills Cuisine
Look for smooth eating in the first part of the week, as three small gourmet fronts converge on the Hocking Hills region for a "perfect storm" of casual yet delicious dining. Large hungry carloads will be blowing in by Thursday evening, devouring everything in their path well into the night. Beginning Friday morning and throughout the weekend, you can expect catch-as-catch-can breakfasts and lunches during the daytime hours, with occasional scattered pot-lucks cropping up across our viewing area. Saturday evening, there's a 90% chance of a restaurant excursion of mammoth proportions, possibly hosted by the guests of honor (!?). Friday evening is a little hard to predict at this time - depending on wind direction and group inertia, we could see anything from a cook-out to a spaghetti dinner to a beer-and-pretzels, how-can-you-possibly-be-hungry situation. 0% chance of peanuts and tree nuts. Slight possibility of an organized brunch on Sunday.
