Hi All!
Having been duly browbeaten by my swell sister and gracious hostess, I am now contributing my very own post. I really should be cleaning the house or rearranging furniture to make room for our Christmas tree, but that can wait.
We had a great time visiting Rider X in Chicago - the new house is spacious and comfortable, and so much cleaner than mine. We went to the taping of the Wait Wait Don't Tell Me show, and that was very funny. The Star Wars exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry was a bit of a disappointment, and Jon was not all that enthusiastic about his college visit to Northwestern. Tim, however, was sold the minute they mentioned the indoor bike track.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Christmas, and planning the big summer "do". Don't forget to bring your 2008 calendars. By the way, does anyone have a good Christmas cookie recipe that is free of any possible nut contamination?
And Tango, are you really bringing that cat for Christmas? Cool!

Who even does that anymore now that waterboarding is cool? And that new house is preternaturally clean, but that No Kids/No Pets, "lifestyle" can warp someone's sense of priorities big time and I do mean right now.
Sorry the prince of Mumby was displeased by his visit. Is he looking at real schools, like Duke? And finally, just what in the name of all that is holy did you mean by the 'that' in "that cat". Seta doesn't look too much like "Fluffy" when she's sleeping and the lights are low and you sorta squint and turn your head. And yes, she's coming. To rock. Your. World.
Good on ya, little/big sis! So glad you could make it. With one minor exception, you have succeeded mightily by catching on very quickly.
First, you filled the rest of the clan in on what's been going on in your neck of the woods (if in fact they're paying any attention).
Second, you extolled my virtues (I took the browbeating comment as a compliment, in light of, as Tango noted, the ease with which I could have used "enahanced" methods) and commented favorably on my new abode. All wise moves if one seeks to keep in the good graces of the ominipotent LTLocal476website administrator.
The minor exception, which you may have noted has already been corrected, deals with our use of aliases. Or, more accuratley, your lack of any use of them. If you're having trouble linking the alias with the person, let me know. However, for various reasons, I'd prefer to keep personally identifying info to a minumum. Ya feel me?
