Have seen no further evidence of critters trying to get into our basement. On the other hand, when I backed the RV out to prepare for our immenent trip to the Smokies, I found a dead possum under the RV and a dead mouse floating in the antifreeze in the toilette. No pictures taken though.
We are heading out tomorrow (Monday) with all of the early crops already planted and carrying along the Tomatos and other plants which we started in pots. Plan to be back in 2 weeks.
It's been a great year for the Daffodils - I'll bet we have close to 500 large blooms. They seem bigger this year than average.
Will try to stay in touch while we are gone.

Safe journey! If you swing thru Muskegon on your way out of town tomorrow, you can witness Jon's NHS induction. He says he'll be putting on a tie for the occasion, though he is not entirely pleased about this honor. It's apparently against his principles to belong to an organization that requires volunteer service for membership. We prevailed upon him to compromise his principles by reminding him that it might be worth some scholarship money. Do you see a future in politics for him?
Congratulations on winning the hearts and minds of the infidel rodent population. Continue your vigilance, though, or the nasty bastids will regroup and lay siege to all you hold dear. Particularly the pea shoots.
The Smokies, you say? You can't mean the Smokies down 'round here, cuz I woulda known about that, seein' as I live just a coupla hours drive away. As BoPeep insinuates, you must mean the Smokies that are situated somewhere West of Whitehall. Maybe the Wisconsin Smokies? Serially, if you're gonna be around here and feel you might need some help moving the tomato plants so that they're always in the sun, let me know. I always need a good excuse to head off to the mountains.
I hope you get good weather and that the spring flowers are blooming. It's about summer here. Had a real live hailstorm today that missed my ride by minutes. That would not have been delightful.
Have fun... I wish I could join you, as I hope Tango is able to do. Do endeavor to post early and often. Lots of pictures too. You do have a little jump drive, right? If so, you can draft posts on your 'puter when you don't have access to the 'nets, and just save the text and pictures on the jump drive. Then, take the jump drive with you to the library, plug it in, and WAA-LA, bing bango bongo, Bob's your uncle, and you're done, [after you cut and paste the text]. So, start setting aside 15 minutes a day to update your legions of fans on your daily comings and goings. And remember, Dave Berry quality humor is not required... brief book report-style entries work just as well. Be safe.
