Update: Erika's Life

Not too much to be updated on, but i wanted to share that i am dual enrolling in sports, doing both track and tennis. we had our first tennis league match on tuesday the fifteenth against armada, and we have another today against imlay city. we lost against armada 3-5. vivien, lorraine and i were the only winners. i have not yet been able to compete in a track event, but i can't wait to throw the shot! i also took the ACT in March and just got my scores back and i got a composite score of 32. i'm pretty excited because it was the highest in my class and i spent several hours in libraries doing practice ACT's so i'm glad it all payed off. it seems that my time to post is running short so i bid you good day and hope to post again soon and will try to teach Baker44 how to post soon.

Smokin' on that ACT thing, girl. When I took it in '78 or whenever I dropped a 29, which was also the highest in my class and also, if memory serves, 97th percentile. So 32 must be be like 100th percentile. Is that even possible?

The tennis match results were ideal for an old Tiger-none of MY people lost and Armada won. That's a win-win, unless you consider the record of the coach. Ummm, who is the coach this year?

And you're going to need to document that you can actually put the shot. You are an amazing young woman with multiple and diverse gifts. But putting the shot? Really? Hardly seems possible.

So keep on posting yer test scores and tennis and field results. And some photos of you actually hefting the shot.

Congrats E. That's quite a score. I believe I got like a 48 on the ACT. Either that I didn't take it. Is that possible? BoPeep, didn't you get a 32 too? Goodness we've got us some big brains in this here fam! Me thinks I only took the SAT. Did well enough to not get rejected by the school I already knew I was going to... CMU {FIRE UP CHIPS!!!} so I think my score was something like 25,000. {I did all the extra credit questions at the end.}

Speaking of college test scores and sports, where are you planning on going to college, li'l e? And what are you planning on studying? I hear tell Northwestern's nice. Good journalism school. Then again... there are LOTS of very good schools in Colorado. Good skiing and mountain biking there too, just so's you know. Oh wait, how 'bout California? UC Berkley, perchance? Stanford? How cool would THAT be? But wait, maybe east coast. We have a friend whose daughter goes to Wellsley, which is near Boston, and loves it. Or maybe Harvard. Or Yale. You could go from one Yale to another. Yea, now were cookin' with gas! I say USE that ginormous ACT score, your sports, your other activities, etc., to SEE THE WORLD!!

Ok, so, here's your mission, should you choose to accept it (and by "choose" I mean... purdy please? With sugar on top?) put a post up comparing and contrasting your top 5 school choices with a detailed explanation of why each is in your fav 5. Oh, and be sure to exclude any discussion of the cost. Only your parents really care about that. The rest of us? Meh. And besides, with scores like yours, you'll get scholarships galore anyway so who cares? So, get crackin'... brainiacathletebeautyqueen.
