The current score is: POPPA BEAR - 5, WOODCHUCKS - 0. Unless you count a pinched finger that I received setting the trap. I hope that is all of them. By the way, Momma Bear vetoed the freezing of large rodents.
Wow. That's a whole lotta dead rodent there big boy. Oh, and sorry Tango, I gotta side with Momma B on the frozen fury rodent in the freezer idea. (Ewww)
Five perfectly good dead woodchucks, chucking no more wood, just decomposing, releasing greenhouse gases, not feeding any thing but the carrion beetles and the flies. Of course you can't put them in the freezer. I was only kidding. Riderx is right-you can't have frozen dead free range groundhogs sharing space with frozen dead factory farmed ground hogs and cows and stuff. Wouldn't be seemly. Keep up the good work, Poppa B. And keep those posts coming.
And just how many names do these rodents have. Gopher. Groundhog. Woodchuck. Whistle Pig. Marmot. Rockchuck. Wuchak (Cree name). And did you know that when they hibernate their body temperature falls from almost 97°F to less than 40°F, their breathing slows to once every six minutes, and their heartbeat plummets from over 100 beats per minute to four. Well I didn't.
