So if you ever find yourself wanting something small (as in, much smaller than a breadbox) delivered 94 floors above where you are, and the elevators aren't working, and you want that little something delivered quickly, you should consider asking me to take it for you. Indeed, it would appear that very few women should be asked before me, and a relatively small number of men as well. You see, I hustled up the Hancock Building this past Sunday and only about 13 women (out of about 1200) and only around 113 men, (out of of about 1400) got up them thar stairs faster'n little ol' me. I did it in 14:48. Official results are supposed to be available here although it doesn't seem to be working at the moment.
Apparently my power-to-weight ratio has improved since my last attempt, back in 2001, when it took me 17:46. Let's hope this improvement translates to similar results during bike races this year....
