Great photos. The toad was taken at Proud Lake if my memory guesses right. Love the belt, the scoop neck t-shirt, and I guess my hands are almost always in that position, though they're usually not that clean. About the other picture: T-flo says she has trouble seeing you in that face and that you sure were handsome. I concur with the latter but with the advantage of growing up with that handsome face it couldn't be plainer to me. Now about the car: is that the 48 Dodge or 46 Ford and is that the garage on Lakeview? It sorta looks like it but I don't see the cherry tree next door. Need some captions on these old ones. And thanks again for doing this. I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. Ya handsome bugger.
Oh man. Too cool. Photo #1: Scoop neck indeed, Tango. How many days in a row do you suppose you'd worn it? And whose belt are you wearing, Dad's hand-me-down? Looks like it 'bout goes around you twice. Oh yeah, and what about those trophy-handle ears? You sure were cute little guy though, I must admit. And is that the the big canvas family tent we always used behind you, at Tequaminon Falls, for example?
#2: My goodness, you were (are) a handsome fella, Daddio. That is one serious mess o' thick hair. A stylish little coif you're sportin' with it too. Bryl Cream, perhaps? And you're looking mighty proud to be showing off your first born. K-Dave, on the other hand, is looking a little nonplussed by the whole idea of being outside in the cold, wastin' time taking pictures. His eyes seem to be pleading: Come on people, I'm your first born male child, I deserve better than this!
Keep 'em comin' Pappa B. I swear I've never seen any of these (or the last one of me) so this is especially fun for me. Thanks!
You are absolutely right Tango, it was Proud Lake Recreation Area. The tent was the old all green one not the big green yellow and white circus tent that we got later. The car was a '47 Chevy that we moved to Detroit with. It's parked in the driveway on Lakeview with black cherry trees in the yards on both sides. Wish I could get clothes line hooks like the one behind me.

Beautiful! The hair, the car, those chubby baby cheeks, the blonde with the grin and the frog, all of it!
