The Snowball fight in Chi-Town

Alright already, I have been reading this blog since its inception with admiration and entertainment at the creativeness, cleverness, love and lightheartedness with which you all have been posting…. I have been waiting for the right moment and reason to make my first entrance to this esteemed forum. It seems the moment is now, as I have been repeatedly requested by my beloved brother-in-law and my beloved spouse to add to the ongoing narrative of the “Best Saturday in a Decade”. As we left our unscheduled (not really as we all knew we would eventually end up in a little watering hole with good beer to spend time discussing, and fixing, the woes of the world), we had a short 3 minute walk back to our house. T-Flo and I were out in front as Tango and Rider X trailed behind. It didn’t take long for the brother and sister combo to start launching snowballs at us from behind. But lo and behold, up in front of us were a couple pre-teen/teen boys waiting in their front lawn to also heave a few snow balls at some unsuspecting, but hopefully good-heartened, adults. Well, as T-Flo and I approached the boys, we encouraged (or ordered, I can’t remember) them to attack Tango and Rider-X bringing up the rear. The boys gladly obliged and a hellacious snow ball fight ensured between the boys and Tango/Rider X. Meanwhile, T-Flo and I continue out of the line of fire and watched as much of the fight as we could see in between our bouts of laughter. In the end, Tango and Rider X easily beat back the boys who had no idea how their good-natured ambush on some adults turned into their own snow-ball beat down on a quiet Saturday night as Tango and Rider-X “hit ‘em at will.” And that folks is my version of the snow ball fight that occurred on Bryn Mawr Avenue, in Chicago, on the Best Saturday in a Decade!!! Happy Birthday to T-Flo and Tango-99, love you tons!!!

Just when I was sure that the The Best Saturday in a Decade series was going languish and die, out of the shadows drops the first post by the Li'l Lotto. Congratulations! It wasn't that bad, was it? And we did lay a good little whuppin' on those boys, did we not? Matter of fact, we did.

And now that you finally got your feet wet, I'm looking forward to many more posts and comments from your keyboard.

Sounds like it was a great time. But the suspense is killing me - did you make it to the concert or not? (And what does Tango mean, exactly, that "time, as we know, is a lion"?
