I expect a full post ride report, RiderX. Yes, 68 in Durham, but there will be no riding for me today. I spent yesterday not as I had planned, working then riding. No, it was sleep for two hours, vomit, sleep for two hours, puke, sleep for two hours, you get the picture. On the mend today, but no riding, despite the gorgeous conditions.
The fifth of January has come and gone. Have you heard from Gennesee County yet? I haven't. So what does the Cat Herder's Manual indicate? And assuming we have their info, what is the next step? Deposits, etc.? Not that I want to be in charge or nothing. Just asking. Keep up the good work-6 out of 7 is fantastic.
No fun links today. I'm going back to bed.

Hope you're feeling better, Tango. Feeding the critters must be especially unpleasant when you're feeling pukey. Lots of sleep, lots of fluids, 'kay? All our snow is melted, and we're supposed to have temps in the 50's for a few more days, so maybe I'll ride down to the lake. Tell T-flo I love the hat!
Thanks BoPeep. Yeah, lotsa fluids, particularly after the barf sessions: dry heaves take all the fun out of puking. A couple things about other comments A) You can get a one day USCF License at the race venue, so you gotta have a different 'scuse. B) I don't know nothing about no 39/23 [you sure it's not 53/29?] gearing. I didn't know they specified anything except for junior racers. Same with tire sizes or types. Either way Li'l Lotto's 7 is race ready and fast. 3)You were definitely beyond level one if you got to the Western Wall.
So I'm now calling you out for a full ride report {with pictures} of your ride to the Lake tomorrow. Gotta get my daylight riding done vicariously this week, it seems. And I believe a post explaining your new handle will go a long way in quieting all this rampant speculation about sheep and so forth.
Rampant speculation? I must have missed it. It's just a nickname inspired by a friend. We were discussing books one day, and she was surprised to discover that I owned one she considered somewhat risque. I guess it didn't square with her apparently one-dimensional view of me as a children's librarian (and therefore her preschooler's "story time lady".) What she said was, "Wow, and there you sit at the circulation desk, all sweet and innocent, like Little BoPeep, when really..." I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. You expect that kind of thinking from a little kid, who might believe you live at the library or be surprised that you, too, have to use the potty once in a while. But from another adult, it's too funny. So stop conjecturing about sheep already.
As for the race, I don't know. I haven't ridden that kind of distance for a very long time. I never went farther than 25 all summer. Plus I've NEVER raced. Is it all packs of people really close together and I'll kill or maim someone when I make a stupid mistake?
Oh man that sucks bro, I hope you're feeling better soon! Food poisoning? Flu? Whatchathink? Do as your other baby sis says tho, and get back up and riding ASAP. T-flo's so far non-symtomatic?
As for the ride, uhhh, yeah, well, uhhhh..... so I did 2.5 hours on the trainer inside then ran for 35 minutes outside on Saturday. Of course, I followed that up with copious amounts of stretching, then hit the steam room for 15 minutes, then got an hour massage. See the thing is, I saw a doc about my rib/breathing problem, and she seems to think it's all about the the neck/shoulder thing. It's been getting a little better, but it's been pretty annoying.
Sunday was a 'recovery' ride day, (1 hour of easy spinning) and it was gray, and rainy, and wet, and dirty, and I just scrubbed up the Moots, so I wasn't able to get myself to go out in the slop for only an hour. Plus, I knew I'd never be able to only do an hour, much less at recovery pace, since I knew there'd be plenty of riders out there, taunting me. Plus I had a full day planned... an Open House for the xxx women's team, then a bowling birthday party for a friend (Tang, you remember Harley right?) Anywho, that's my lengthy excuse for not riding outside in the warm-up... YET.
Tonigh, I'll give you the lowdown on my outside ride, so long as the rain is not coming down faster than 1 inch per hour.
We had thunderstorms and tornadoes and stuff around here today, so no rides to the beach. Maybe tomorrow, but it seems doubtful. You all better yet, Tango?
