Without lack of regard for their personal beliefs

So apparently this new state senator in Colorado told photographers no pictures of him during the morning prayer. But then these 2 photographers kneeling in front of the new senator seemingly decided they should not be told when they could, and when they could not, take pictures. When Mr. Shutterbug #2 took the senator's picture, the senator kicked him.

Being the curious type, and knowing there's kicking someone, and there's kicking someone (kinda like biffing someone and biffing them as hard as you can), I wanted to watch this video to see just what size can of whoopass the senator opened up on the hapless photag. (Turns out a pretty small one.)

But natch, sumpn else ended up striking me as the most interesting part of the vid. Listen to the guy offering the prayer.

Yep, he said it. My second favorite word: irregardless. Specifically, in sum, he says the lawmakers should pause and reflect on their constituents, then says they should corporately(??), and irregardless of their personal beliefs, think about people from their state in harm's way. What the foxtrot does that even mean? Or am I just makin' a mute point?

Where can I get a full transcript of that "prayer"? How you gonna kick someone for interrupting your your focus on a holy man's call to think about people which (sic) may be in harm's way? And why did the guy with the video camera not get kicked? So many questions. Oh, and is a mute point a silent version of moot point? Inquiring minds wanna know.

Yes, a mute point is an example of a point that's unable to speak, usually by reason of awe (and perhaps just a teeny li'l bit o' shock). I assumed I didn't need to sic myself, as I was providing my first favoritest word/phrase, or whatever it is you'd call that. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) how many of my fellow esquires just looooovvvve to talk about mute points. Talk about wanting to move to strike.

By the by, Top o' the Caves is spo-da call me back tomorrow. The dude I talked to today was NOT the brightest bulb in the tanning bed though, so we'll see. Stay tuned...
