So we didn't quite get around to sending Christmas cards this year, okay? But I wanted to send notes to a handful of old friends we never see anymore. I think I heard Rider X refer to that kind of note as a Christmas reply card. So anyway, I sorted through the cards we had received and set aside the ones I wanted to answer. Knowing I wouldn't be able to finish in one sitting, I put the cards into a ziploc bag for protection. Then I went to look for some cards or stationery to write my replies on. I opened the desk drawer and started digging around, and guess what I found? You're right, of course, or at least partly right. There was a ziploc bag full of cards and letters I hadn't answered yet. But they weren't last year's Christmas ones, oh no, these were from the summer of 2001! I had a great time re-reading them, especially the one that was written by a friend who was vacationing on the Outer Banks with her husband and two kids. She started it on September 4th, while the baby was sleeping and the other two were at the arcade. She finished it on November 8th, when she found the half-finished letter stuck inside a magazine.
Anyway, I just finished writing the last Christmas reply card. (You aren't getting any, because I just saw you all!) I wanted to post the pictures I took when I rode to the beach yesterday, Tango, but I'm too tired tonight. Maybe tomorrow. And for contrast, I could post a picture of the snowstorm we got today! 'Night, all.

That is funny. In part because I'm guessin' you're the only one of the 6 (12?) of us who would even consider writing such a letter. Much less even beginning the process a whopping 2 times. Good on ya, sis. Oh, and you got it only kinda right- it's called a Replymas card. See, that's much funnier isn't it?
Oh yeah, replymas card. I like them both, though. Christmas reply card sounds like business reply card.
When I was posting this last night, two of the other names in the conributors list were purple instead of green, and so was mine. I assume that means they were logged in to the site at that time? Except my name is not purple right now, so maybe not. How does that work?
